The Sewing at Lake Tahoe Retreat will be June 10 – 15, 2018 for a week long of sewing fun at Zephyr Cove. Nourish your creative spirit together with your sewing sisters in a beautiful setting with floor to ceiling windows and a breathtaking view of the lake. You’ll have the time and space to finish your UFOs, start new projects, and to get supportive advice from those attending. Our sewing retreat gives you the opportunity to sew with no family interruptions, no cooking, no cleaning, and no time limits!
Those who have attended the past retreats have indicated their interest for the retreat to be extended to Friday. Thus the retreat will start on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 4:00 PM and will conclude on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Massage therapists will be on hand on for one or two of the days to relieve any tight muscles that may build up during the week. We will also get a visit from Fabric Chicks on one day and from Quilt House on another day to enhance our sewing stash.
In order to meet our contract obligations with the conference center, the cost of the event is two-tiered. For those registering on or before March 1, 2018, the cost for double occupancy is $430 ($470 non ASG members). For those who register after March 1, 2018, the cost for double occupancy is $470 ($510 non ASG members). An upgrade charge of $225 will be assessed for those who prefer single occupancy. Additionally, the conference center now charges an additional $12 per person for vegetarian or vegan requests. Those wishing to upgrade to single occupancy or opt for the vegetarian or vegan meals will indicate their choices on the second page of the Eventzilla registration process.
Note: No refunds will be issued after March 1, 2018 unless there is someone on the waiting list available to fill the spot. Registration deadline is May 21, 2018 or when the event fills – whichever comes first. Registration is limited to 24 people.
